Haven’t I got some awesome news to share with you all !!!
I have had the enormous pleasure of spending two whole days at the Annie Sloan Head quarters in Oxfordshire on my very first Stockist training workshop. After using Chalk paint for 12 years and finally becoming a stockist I’ve now ticked another goal off my bucket list. I won’t lie , I was extremely overwhelmed , just leaving the sunny kerb of Tamworth gave me vertigo , heart palpitations and extreme anxiety ! yes all this Leo confidence is actually armour and stepping out my comfort zone and safety of the Shop increased the blood pressure ever so slightly.
Once I was settled in the solitude of my hotel room sipping weak PG tips tea and waiting for my room mate Tracy Clarke from Ireland to land I gathered my thoughts , rested my nerves and began to paint my nails. lets be real , any painting was calming so the nails had to be done to place those nerves back in a bubble of tranquil mind-fullness.
Tracey landed , harmony restored and the bar had two seats with our names on it !!!
So How was it ??? did it live up to expectations??? are my nerves settled ???
Imagine walking into your fantasy , stepping around hand made creations , eyes wide open in awe of the colours & patterns, inventive ‘well thought out wall decor, worn aged paint splashed tables and a complete rainbow of stained used fat bristle brushes decorating each shelf ….. Thats Annie Sloan HQ !!!
Just to Add even more to your physical creative senses your welcomed buy a buzz of gentle kind butterflies gifted from the creative Angelic realm , deeply entrenched with magical enthusiasm , pocket fulls of passion for Chalk Paint that reflects through the smiling eyes of these mythical souls…….That will be the Annie Sloan HQ team of staff !!!
It exceeded all my expectations !!
I was so deeply overwhelmed I couldn’t take it all in, sadly I never took enough photos , hardly spoke the first day which is so unlike me but I felt incredibly humbled to be in the presence of so many wonderful people from all over the world and to be taught artistic beautiful techniques by Annie Sloan herself particularly after she has now been awarded a CBE Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the 2023 Birthday Honours for Services to interior design. The whole experience exceeded my expectations and provided me with valuable teachings and perfect memories.

I am now able to bring to you the experience of learning those very techniques in my workshop!! how very exciting…..
Currently we are scheduling our plans for Autumn/Winter diary taking into consideration the cost of living increases, environmental challenges and my very own love for up cycling on a budge, saving every penny is imperative for both myself and my customers. We need to stay on form , feed our soul with creative joy , indulge in momemts with friends and count the blessings as much as the pennies.
I feel totally inspired and motivated for the coming seasons and can’t wait for you all to join me in my workshop.
